The short version
- Ask the school first. Schools create and manage Sublogy accounts, and can usually act immediately.
- If the school cannot process the request, email support@sublogy.com.
- We verify every request with the school before deleting anything.
- Never send passwords or other sensitive information in a deletion request.
School-managed accounts
Sublogy student accounts are created and managed by participating schools. Students do not create accounts directly through the Sublogy app.
If you want a student's Sublogy account or associated data to be deleted, please first contact the student's school administrator. The school can request deletion of the student's account and associated data on their behalf.

If your school is unable to process the deletion request, you can contact Sublogy at:

Please include the following information so that we can identify the student's account:
- Student name
- School name
- Class
- Section
For privacy and security, please do not send passwords or other sensitive information.
After receiving the request, Sublogy will contact the school to verify the request before processing the deletion.
What happens after verification
Once the request is verified, Sublogy will delete the student's account and associated personal data that is no longer required for legitimate business, legal, security, or regulatory purposes.
Some limited information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate security or record-keeping purposes. Any such information will be retained only for the period necessary for that purpose.
Sublogy Buddy conversations
Sublogy does not routinely store conversations between students and Sublogy Buddy. They are held only in the app while it is open.
If a student reports a Buddy conversation, that conversation is sent to us and may be retained and reviewed by the Sublogy team for safety, quality and improvement purposes. It is kept only for as long as that review requires. A reported conversation is deleted along with the rest of a student's data when an account is deleted.
