What is Sublogy?
Sublogy stands for Subject Learning Technology — an AI-powered approach to helping students understand subjects by identifying and resolving the concepts they haven't fully mastered.
In practice, Sublogy is a learning application used by school students in classes 6 to 10, provided to them through their school. It gives a student practice that matches what they have already mastered, a worked example behind every question, and help the moment they get stuck. Underneath, its own AI engine — CUBALE — works out which concepts are secure, which are not, and which older idea is quietly making the current one harder than it should be.
In one sentence
Sublogy is Subject Learning Technology: an AI-powered learning application for school students in classes 6–10 that finds the concepts a student has not fully understood, strengthens them, and adapts what the student practises next. It is operated by Sublogy Technologies Private Limited, India.
The name is meant literally. Not subject teaching technology, and not test preparation technology — subject learning technology. The thing being modelled is the student's understanding of a subject, and everything else in the product exists to serve that.
Why Sublogy exists
Sublogy started from a limitation that every learning product eventually runs into, and most quietly work around.
A wrong answer tells you what happened. It does not tell you why.
A student may get a question wrong because they misread it. Or because a prerequisite from two years ago was never fully secured. Or because one small foundational idea was skipped and nothing since has forced it into the open. A traditional question-and-answer system can record the incorrect response perfectly well. Identifying the concept underneath it is a much harder problem — and it is the one that actually determines whether the student improves.
That problem compounds. A concept left unresolved today makes the next concept harder, then the next, until the difficulty starts to look like the subject rather than like one unresolved idea. A student who was never quite secure on fractions becomes a student who is “bad at word problems” four years later — and no amount of word-problem practice will fix it. We wrote about this in detail under foundational learning gaps.
Teachers already know this. The obstacle has never been care or skill; it is arithmetic. A single teacher may have thirty-plus students, hundreds of responses a week, and dozens of interconnected concepts to hold in their head at once. That is not a workload problem that can be solved by working harder. It is more information than a person can process — which is exactly the kind of problem software should be taking off their hands.
How Sublogy works
Sublogy runs as one loop, built around the student, with the teacher above it and CUBALE at the centre.
- The student practisesQuestions are chosen to match what they have already mastered, so the work stays hard enough to be interesting and easy enough to finish.
- CUBALE observesEvery attempt is evidence: whether it was right, how many tries it took, how recently the concept was practised, and which concepts the question actually depended on.
- Gaps are identifiedWeak concepts are traced down their dependency chain to the earliest idea that isn't secure — which is often not the topic the student was working on.
- The path adaptsPractice moves to strengthen that foundation first. Every question comes with a worked example: not just the answer, but the steps, written the way a teacher would explain them.
- Help arrives at the point of confusionIf a student is stuck mid-step, Sublogy Buddy talks through the example on screen in short, simple sentences.
- The engine re-checksA concept isn't closed because an explanation was shown. It's closed when later answers show it holding up — and if it doesn't, the path adapts again.
The three ideas that loop rests on each have a page of their own: concept-based learning, adaptive learning, and AI-powered learning.
What's inside Sublogy
CUBALE
The Concept Understanding Based Adaptive Learning Engine — built in-house. It analyses learning patterns, detects concept gaps, and chooses what each student practises next.
Sublogy Buddy
An AI study assistant that explains the worked example on screen in simpler words. It keeps to the lesson in front of it, and is built to help a student understand rather than hand over answers.
Worked examples
Behind every question, not just the answer but the steps — written the way a teacher would explain them.
Belts
Students earn belts as they improve, White through to Black, so progress is something they can actually see.
Teacher tools
Teachers set assignments and tests, and see how the class is getting on — including which concepts need attention and how many students each one affects.
Olympiad practice
Students choose the chapters they've studied, Sublogy generates an Olympiad-style test, then analyses the result and shares a worked solution for every incorrect answer.
Who Sublogy is for
Students in classes 6 to 10
Sublogy covers Mathematics, Science, English Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Skill, Spoken and Written Expression, and Reasoning, along with preparation for the Maths, Science and English Olympiads.
Teachers
Teachers don't need more data; they need clarity. Sublogy summarises a class into the handful of things worth acting on — the concepts needing attention, the students affected by each, and the emerging gaps that haven't yet shown up in marks. More on Sublogy for schools.
Schools
Sublogy is provided through schools. The school creates and manages student accounts, decides who is authorised to use the service and for how long, and teachers see the progress of students in their own classes.
How we build it
The concept is the unit
Not the chapter, not the test, not the score. If a product measures topics, it can only ever tell you which topic a student failed — which is rarely where the problem is.
Evidence over confidence
CUBALE identifies patterns and detects likely gaps, then recommends areas for reinforcement. It does not claim to know every misconception perfectly, and we don't describe it as if it does. That is also why the teacher stays in the loop: recommendations are shown as something to look at, not as a verdict.
Understanding, not answers
It would be easy to build a study assistant that simply solves the question. Sublogy Buddy is deliberately constrained to the lesson on screen and built to explain the step the student is stuck on — because a student who gets the answer has finished the question, and a student who gets the idea has finished the concept.
Built for children, and restrained accordingly
Sublogy is used by children, so there is no advertising anywhere in the app, no behavioural tracking or analytics following students around, no in-app purchases, no social logins, and no selling or renting of personal data. The app does not use the camera, microphone, contacts or location, and never asks permission to. Data is stored in India. Buddy replies are screened for material unsuitable for children before they are shown, and nothing identifying the student is sent with a Buddy question. The full detail is in our privacy policy.

Common questions
What does Sublogy mean?
Sublogy stands for Subject Learning Technology — an AI-powered approach to helping students understand subjects by identifying and resolving the concepts they haven't fully mastered. Sublogy is operated by Sublogy Technologies Private Limited, India.
What is Sublogy?
Sublogy is a learning application for school students in classes 6 to 10. It gives students practice matched to what they have already mastered, a worked example behind every question, and a study assistant when they get stuck — and it uses its own AI engine, CUBALE, to find and strengthen the concepts a student has not fully understood.
How do students get a Sublogy account?
Through their school. There is no sign-up inside the app: the school creates the account and gives the student a username. If a school does not use Sublogy yet, they can get in touch at sublogy@sublogy.com.
Which classes and subjects does Sublogy cover?
Classes 6 to 10, across Mathematics, Science, English Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Skill, Spoken and Written Expression, and Reasoning — along with preparation for the Maths, Science and English Olympiads.
Does Sublogy show advertising or track students?
No. There is no advertising anywhere in the app, no behavioural tracking or analytics following students around, no in-app purchases, and personal data is never sold or rented. Data is stored in India.
Is Sublogy the same as an AI chatbot for homework?
No. The conversational part of Sublogy — Sublogy Buddy — is deliberately restricted to the lesson on screen and is built to help a student understand rather than hand over answers. The core of the product is CUBALE, an adaptive learning engine that decides what a student should work on next.
